This 1 1/4" brass motorized ball valve from U.S. Solid comes in a sturdy, durable brass. It is a great option for the DIY project, but strong enough for big businesses. The stem and body of the valve are comprised of trusty brass, which is safe but resilient.
The valve actuates with 85-265V of AC power. When energized, it will open fully in 6-8 seconds. Since this valve is a normally closed (N/C) ball valve, it will automatically return to a closed position when the power source is eliminated. When fully opened, a limit switch keeps the amount of power used by the valve to a miniscule levels. This makes it a much more environmentally friendly option than most solenoid valves. Most solenoid valves are fully energized when opened, which can lead to problems and overheating when run continuously. This valve draws such low levels of power once fully opened that it can be run continuously and never overheat.

The stem on this valve comes with a robust torque rating of 6 Nm. This is important, though often overlooked. The stem is a frequent point of failure for valves, and having a strong stem helps to ensure a lifetime of quality performance.
